A graduate of the University of Ibadan and a Certified Export Professional from the United Kingdom’s Institute of Export, Mr. Ajagunna is also the President/CEO of BEL USA Inc., based in Houston. With over 15 years of multi sectoral experience spanning trade relations, institutional policy monitoring, project management, privatization and investor liaison, he comes with a wide range of public and private sector experience.

 

For four years he was the Trade Development Manager at the British High Commission in Abuja, Nigeria supporting UK industries investment in the Nigerian economy. He supported significant UK investment in the Nigerian Oil & Gas industry and assisted in obtaining $12 Billion investment in the Olokola LNG project. He also worked with the leading Energy Service Corporation Schlumberger Information Solutions and the Nigerian government’s privatization and reform agency, the Bureau of Public Enterprises, where he participated in developing the framework for some of the key reforms in the Nigerian oil & gas downstream industry. Mr. Ajagunna is a seasoned professional in both upstream and downstream the petroleum sector, not only in Nigeria but in several countries around the world.
